Few want to be transparent

Living in a world of secrets, half truths, out right lies. We find ourselves hiding. Afraid of what the world would think of us if they only knew. If they only knew the thoughts we had in private, if they only knew our secret desires, our secret actions, our failures. The things we do behind closed doors.

One of my favorite sayings is: Our character is determined by what we do when no one is looking.

This is a motto that I try to live by. Not easy. Why? Because you have to be able to keep yourself in check. Always checking your motives against the written Word of God. Is what I am doing pleasing to God?

Have you been wanting your relationship with Christ to deepen? Have you been asking Him to reveal Himself to you?

If we want Christ to reveal Himself to us at a deeper level, we have to be willing to be transparent. Are you willing to let Christ see you as you really are? (he already knows, but waits for you to offer it to Him) Would you be relaxed and at ease with what he saw? When you look in the mirror, do you like what you see? Remember, Christ does not see you as you do, he sees your heart! Next time you look into that mirror, look deeply. Not at your body, but at your self.

We are going to fail at things. We are going to fall from time to time, but if your heart is right, you will keep getting back up. Dusting yourself off and trying again.

By being transparent, you open yourself up to heal and to change. By exposing yourself, your sins, your nakedness to the Lord, you open yourself up for cleansing and being dressed with a white washed robe of Christ. Never to be ashamed again.

Once you are willing to be transparent with Christ, you will then find it flowing over into the rest of your life and you will not have anything to hide from the outside world either. Being transparent to the Lord brings freedom! Walking in the light of Christ exposes all the dark areas in our lives. Once we can see clearly what those dark areas are, then we can then lay them at the Lords feet and claim our freedom.

He is always willing to forgive our sins and to forget them.

Father in Heaven, Praise be to your Name, We thank you that you are the Lord of  hope and freedom. That we can come to you and open ourselves up. Exposing our deepest secrets to you knowing that you will give us your full acceptance and forgiveness of sins. That no secret is too personal or damning that your Sons blood can not cover. We thank you for your son Jesus Christ for his atoning blood that is able to wash us white as snow and give us a new beginning. We come to you today Lord transparent, ready to reveal our true selves to you that we can be made clean in order to better serve you.

Praise, Glory and Honor be to your name,

In Jesus name,

Amen

In Christ,

Lisa
